Mom and Dad
This entry is a shout out to Mom and Dad :)
I love you and thank God for sharing you with me as my parents! Thanks for the recent words of wisdom. :)
These were words from my dad following his story of an encouraging conversation he had when he started to talking to a person selling him a curio cabinet that he's been looking to buy for years :)
"...So, I guess the lesson of this story is this, 'church' stuff and 'home' stuff and all the 'other' stuff.... when you are a disciple of Christ, it's ALL 'JESUS' stuff."
And here is a story my mom shared with me after talking with a member of our congregation about a devotion he had led recently:
"...he was leading devotions and came across the text of Joshua 22:34. This is at an end of a section about some trouble that came up (actually some of the tribes almost went to war against the Reubenites and Gadites) because of lack of or miscommunication between the different tribes of Israel during the time they were conquering the land that God had given to them. When all had been resolved between the tribes, verse 34, in the King James Version, says, "And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God." Other versions leave out the name "Ed", but from what I have briefly researched, "Ed" means "witness." I was thinking, "may we all be called 'Ed'" - a witness between us that the LORD is God. And that also is my prayer for you and team Taiwan."

In your recent news letter you said that seeing a man smoke while driving a blue truck felt like home. How in tthe world could that feel like home? Well it`s good to know some thing remined you of home.
